Description: The file contain one document the Summons for Willaim Hogue to appear in the Curt of Common Pleas during the July Term 1812. The Summons was issued by R [Robert] Buntin, Clerk, CCPKC on July 20, 1812. Hogue was to appear before the Judges in the Court of Common Pleas Wednesday the third day of the July Term to answer to Mark Barnet of a plea that he render unto him sixty-five dollars which he unjustly retained and damages of fifty dollars. On the verso side of the Summons, This action is brought on two notes under seal therefore bail is required. Jon Johnson, atty, for Plaintiff. Executed by James Crow, Sheff with $.59 added for serving fees. According to the Minute Book of the Knox County Court of Common Pleas page 56, during the July Term 1812: On a motion of the Plaintiff by John Johnson, his attorney, this suit is to discontinued at the Plaintiffs costs.
