Description: This file contains 3 summons in the case in which William Retherford, executor of the estate of Henry Pea, sues John Bowman for $51 owed to Pea. Bowman could not be located by deputy sheriff James Crow during each summons. The summons were witnessed and signed by court clerk Robert Buntin on January 23, 1810, April 14, 1810, and September 25, 1810. According to the Minute Book of Common Pleas, 1807-1810, page 269, the defendant John Bowman could not be found.
