The file contains one document, the Recognizance Bond of James Hambleton and Samuel Hogue for $100 each. The bond was to ensure James Hambleton would appear in court before the judges of the Court of Common Pleas in July 1809. Hambleton promised to stay in the county and keep the peace particularly with his wife Polly. The Recognizance was sworn before Justice of the Peace William Jones, JPKC. According to the Minute Book of the Knox County Court of Common Pleas, page 198; James Hambleton appeared in discharge of his Recognizance and no bill having been found against him. It was ordered that he be discharged of said Recognizance. |
