United States vs. Berry Cantwell, Levy Myer, and John Berry

Description: The file contains one document regarding the suit the United States was bringing against Berry Cantwell, Levy Myer, and John Berry. The document Knox County, Ohio Township, is for the Recognizance Bond of of Cantwell, Myer, and Berry for $10.00 each. They will appear at the Court of Common Pleas to answer to the complaint of William Taylor in behalf of the United States. They also promised to keep the peace. James Wilkerson acknowledged himself as special bail. Berry Cantwell signed with his mark while the others signed with their signatures. This was done before Danl. Grass JKC. According to the Minute Book of the Knox County Court of Common Pleas 1807-1810, pgs 194, 217, 242; The bonds were forfeited since they did not appear in court.
