The file contains two documents regarding the allowance owed to Samuel Carruthers, constable, for attending General Court in 1801 and 1802. In 1801, during the March Term, Carruthers, Constable, attended one day of General Court and was owed One Dollar; signed Henry VanderBurgh. Samuel Carruthers then signed the allowance over to Simon Vannnorsdal [vannorsdal] on January 4, 1803. During the March Term 1802, he attended General Court nine days and was owed Nine Dollars. This second document was signed by William Clarke, Henry VanderBurgh, and John Griffin. This allowance was also signed over to Simon vannosdal on January 4, 1803. |
