Description: The file contains the court transcript of Samuel Thompson, the administrator of George A. Fredericks Estate, action of debt against Peter Hoke on October 10, 1840. It also includes the administrators of Peter Hokes Estate, Alanson Roberts and Andrew Taylor, protest that they were entered to appear at the August Term 1843 of the Knox County Probate Court. According to the Court transcription October 10, 1840, Peter Hoke appeared voluntarily in court to answer to a plea of debt. He admitted the debt of $75.68 3/4. A judgement was made for the Plaintiff that the Plaintiff recover the $75.68 3/4 with interest and cost until the debt is paid. D.G. McClure. Levi Frederick acknowledged himself as security for the Judgement October 10, 1840. Below the transcript May 27, 1843 I hereby certify the above to be a true transcript of the original from D. G. McClures docket, DG McClure Successor Now in my hands Clark Willis, J.P. The Debt with interest and cost was $89.43. On the back of the transcript was noted, We do hereby contest that the appearance of the administrators on the estate of Peter Hoke shall be entered at the August Term 1843 of the Knox Probate Court to a suit on the within.
