Archibald McKee (administrator) of Henry Henderson vs David Rensler

Description: A summons subpoena was issued July 14, 1838 and executed July 25, 1838. On July 28, 1838 both parties came to court and the plaintiff has an account in hand that was sent up to Probate Court. Marten Robinson, Justice of the Peace signed with his hand August 15, 1838 with court cost of $1.70. The document was filed August 16, 1838 by N. Harper, Deputy Clerk. An account owed by David Rensler for a cow and calf amounting to $18 was transferred to Probate Court, witnessed by George McCormic, Samuel Emison, and Jane Henderson. On April 7, 1834 and the document was filed August 16, 1838 by N. Harper Deputy Clerk. The account was for $17.68 3/4 for a shotgun, days of work, working in oats, cutting , binding, stacking oats, cash lent, mutton, fish, and a plough purchased, also included was the amount due settlement. Tibbs protested hte purchase and trading of horses. This was transferred to Probate court. A subpoena summons for Jane Henderson, Samuel Emison, and George McCormic was issued for them to appear in Probate Court on Monday, the first day of November term 1838, to give evidence in the case Archibald B McKee , administrator of Henry Henderson vs David Rensler. A $100 penalty was to be imposed if they failed to appear in court. Witnessed W. R. McCord, Clerk, November 3, 1838. On the back of the summons is a list of court fees and the cost and date the summons was executed. The court fees are $1.22 1/2 mileage was 36 cents for a total of $1.58 1/2 per Zach Sullivan, Sheriff. A subpoena summons for Samuel Rensler and William Kelso to appear before the Probate Court on behalf of David Rensler advs of Archibald McKee administrator of Henry Henderson, deceased. A $100 penalty will be issued for not appearing before the court. Witness is William R. McCord, Clerk. The summons was executed on December 26, 1838 with fees listed of 85 cents and 12 miles for a total of 97 cents due per Sheriff Zack Sullivan.
