Willson Lagow vs John Bruner

Description: On July 29, 1814, Willson Lagow files suit against John Bruner on a plea of trespass for $500. A recognizance bond is issued on July 29, 1814 by R. Buntin, Clerk of the Common Pleas Court. On the back of the note it states: an affidavit for the sum due amounts to $146. Bail is set for that amount R. Buntin, Clerk. On July 29, 1814 Willson Lagow, swears before Judges that he is owed $146. Bail bond is set for John Brunner and Thomas J. Withers and they are bound into Sheriff Henry J. Mills in the sum of $500. In October 1815 the plaintiff by his attorney General W. Johnston files a motion for a case of dismissal at the defendants cost. Plaintiff is to recover money owed him plus costs and charges from the defendant.
