William Francis vs Simon Vandorsall

Description: On November 6, 184 William Francis sues out of the Circuit Court and files a writ against Simon Vandorsall that he owes him a promissory note of $120 plus damages of $100. Witnessed by R. Buntin, Clerk of the Circuit Court Knox County. Bail is required in the sum of $120 and is executed by Sheriff B.V. Beckes. The plaintiffs attorney is General W. Johnston who states that defendant was to pay the money on December 25, 1806. On October 25, 1815 judgement of $120 plus interest from December 26, 1806 until paid together with the sum of $13.11 1/2 is due to the plaintiff. A writ of arrest was filed December 26, 1815 by R. Buntin, Circuit County Clerk. Sheriff B. V. Beckes states that Simon Vandorsall can not be found. A true transcript of these proceedings was filed November 27, 1817 by R. Buntin, C.C.K.C.
