James Denny (assignee of James Westfall) and John Decker vs James Nabb

Description: In Circuit Court March 18, 1815 James Denny assignee of James Westfall and John Decker petitioned the court that he holds a note of $219.87 1/2 owed from James Nabb. James Nabb is summoned to appear in court October 2, 1815. This was filed August 25, 1815 by R. Buntin, Circut Clerk for Knox County. George R. C. Sullivan is the attorney for the plaintiff, General W. Johnston is the attorney for the defendant. George Sullivan files a petitions for damages on October 15, 1815 stating the amount owed to defendant should be $291.87 1/2 plus interest from March 18, 1815 until paid with cost and charges added. On March 29, 1816 plaintiffs attorney files a Fieri Facias against the goods and chattels, lands and tenements of defendant who was in the possession of the Sheriff. A record filed April 20, 1816 by Robert Buntin, Clerk. A Writ of Errors is filed April 22, 1816 where Benjamin J. Harrison and Henry J. Mills are held and firmly bound into James Denny assignee of James Westfall and John Decker for $454.08.
