| Description: |
Civil court case in which Robert Morrison was suing Edward Sharp for $4,000.00 damages. The damages occurred May 1, 1799, in New Jersey, when Edward Sharp became indebted to Morrison. Morrison, himself, had performed work and labor along with his servants with horses, carts, and carriages. He had also provided materials for the labor. He also sold and delivered goods, wares, and merchandise, as well as lent and advanced money to the defendant. According to the Minute Book in the May term 1801 the court ordered depositions to be taken in Sussex County, New Jersey. Esquires Daniel Predmore, John Brodrick, and Christopher Case of New Jersey were charged with the task. In the August term 1801 the plaintiffs attorney asked for a continuance. The court ordered the suit to be ended non prosequitur. |
