Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Frank Seaman, dated September 16, 1886. Frank first enlisted on April 16, 1861 as Private in Company I 5th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry and was discharged in June (day omitted) 1861. Frank re-enlisted on July 6, 1861 as Private in the 1st Battery of the Ohio Artillery and was discharged as QM Sergeant on February 14, 1863. Franks application was recommended by G.W. Miller. Examining Committee members were G.B. Rose and George Grimes. Applicant Elected September 16, 1886. Applicant Mustered, No. on Des. Book, Adjutant, and Post Commander information omitted.
