Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of William H. Sanders, dated August 6, 1891. William first enlisted in March (day omitted) 1861 as Private in Company D 12th Regiment of the Kentucky Infantry and was discharged in March (day omitted) 1864. William re-enlisted in April (day omitted) 1864 as Private in Company D 12th Regiment of the Kentucky Infantry and was discharged in October (day omitted) 1865. Williams application was recommended by John Beley. Examining Committee members were F.M. McCoy, S.W. Thomas, and C.P. Murphy. Applicant Elected and Mustered August 6, 1891. No. on Des. Book: 626.
