Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Frank Rice, dated August 6, 1879. Frank first enlisted on August 15, 1863 as Private in Company K 115th Regiment of the Indiana Infantry Volunteers and was discharged about February 15, 1864. Frank re-enlisted on October 8, 1864 as Private in the 18th Indiana Battery / Light Artillery and was discharged on June 30, 1865. Franks application was recommended by George Planett. Examining Committee members were William H. Armstrong and L. Burget. Applicant Elected, Mustered, Number on Des. Book, Adjutant, and Post Commander information omitted.
