This is the Grand Army of the Republic Reinstatement application of G.H. Purdy, dated September 7, 1895. G.H. enlisted on July 22, 1862 as Captain in Company H 4th Regiment of the Indiana Cavalry and was discharged as Major on July 3, 1865. G.H.s application was recommended by John C. Haas. Examining Committee members were J.A. Anderson, John Beley, and S.R. Meader. Applicant Elected and Reinstated September 5, 1895. No. on Des. Book: 153. John C. Haas, Adjutant; Henry A. Winter, Post Commander. NOTE: This is likely the reinstatement application of George H. Purdy. |
