Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Robert M. Phillippi, date omitted. Robert first enlisted on September 12, 1861 as Private in Company E 11th Regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry and was discharged as Veteran Volunteer on December 31, 1863. Robert re-enlisted on December 31, 1863 as Private in Company E 11th Regiment of the Pennsylvania Infantry and was discharged on July 6, 1865. Roberts application was recommended by Cliff W. Ross. Examining Committee members, Applicant Elected, Mustered, Number on Des. Book, Adjutant, and Post Commander information omitted. NOTE: On Back of application reads Morton Post No. 51 Dept of New York G.A.R.
