Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of John Paddock, dated April 15, 1886. John first enlisted on October 10, 1861 as Private in Company D 43rd Regiment of the Indiana Volunteer Infantry and was discharged on January 31, 1864. John re-enlisted on February 1, 1864 as Corporal in Company D 43rd Regiment of the Indiana Veteran Volunteers and was discharged on August 23, 1864. Johns application was recommended by C.W. Power. Examining Committee members were R.P. Davis and George Grimes. Applicant Elected and Mustered May 6,1886. No. on Des. Book: 475. Adjutant and Post Commander information omitted.
