Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of William L. Martin, date omitted. William first enlisted on April 18, 1861 as a Private in Company D 11th Regiment of the Indiana Volunteers and was discharged on August 4, 1861. William re-enlisted on October 8, 1861 as a Private in Company G 43rd Regiment of the Indiana Volunteers and was discharged as 1st Lieutenant on June 14, 1865. Williams application was recommended by C.A. Power. Examining Committee members were J.H. Henderson and L. Burget. Applicant Elected, Mustered, Number on Des. Book, Adjutant, and Post Commander information omitted.
