Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of John Hyde, dated April 7, 1881. John enlisted on September 28, 1861 as a Captain in Company F 1st Regiment of the Wisconsin Volunteer Cavalry and was discharged on April 20, 1863. Johns application was recommended by Cliff. W. Rofp (?). Investigating Committee members were W.H. Manning, J.H. Henderson, and Albert Gray. Applicant Elected April 21, 1881 and Mustered May 5, 1881. Number on Des. Book and Adjutant information omitted. William H. Armstrong, Post Commander.
