This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Nelson Hollis, dated May 29, 1890. Nelson first enlisted on September 10, 1861 as a Private in Company E 66th Regiment of the Illinois Volunteers and was discharged on December 25, 1863. Nelson re-enlisted on December 10, 1863 as a Private in Company E 66th Regiment of the Illinois Volunteer Infantry and was discharged as a Corporal on July 7, 1865. Nelsons application was recommended by J.F. Murphy. Examining Committee members were M.C. Rankin, George W. Miller, and C.A. Downer (?). Applicant Elected and Mustered May 29, 1890. No. on Des.
