This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Thomas Harper, dated May 14, 1885. Thomas first enlisted on December 15, 1861 as a Private in Company F 54th Regiment of the Illinois Volunteer Infantry and was discharged on December 30, 1863. Thomas re-enlisted on January 1, 1864 as a Private in Company F 54th Regiment of the Illinois Volunteer Infantry and was discharged on October 15, 1865. Thomas application was recommended by James F.
