Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Augustus C. Ford, dated March 18, 1886. Augustus enlisted on September 5, 1861 as a Private in Company A 31st Regiment of the Indiana Volunteer Infantry and was discharged as a Captain on June 1, 1865.
