This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Augustus C. Ford, dated March 18, 1886. Augustus enlisted on September 5, 1861 as a Private in Company A 31st Regiment of the Indiana Volunteer Infantry and was discharged as a Captain on June 1, 1865. Augustuss application was recommended by C.A. Power. Examining Committee members were R.P. Davis, A.S. Lowdermilk, and George Grimes. Applicant Elected April 1, 1886 and Mustered April 15, 1886.
