Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of William Edington, dated September 17, 1879. William first enlisted on June 27 1861 as a Private in Company E 12th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry and was discharged on December 21, 1863. William re-enlisted on December 21, 1863 as a Private in Company E 12th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry and was discharged on May 25, 1865. Williams application was recommended by William Greenleaf. Examining Committee members were William H. Armstrong, L. Burget, and J.W. Haley. Applicant Elected, Mustered, Number on Des. Book, Adjutant, and Post Commander information omitted.
