James Denton GAR application

Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of James Denton, dated September 17, 1879. James enlisted on July 15, 1861 as a Corporal in Company D 21st Regiment of the Missouri Volunteer Infantry; on July 30, 1864 he was transferred to Company C 15th Regiment of the Veteran Reserves and was discharged on June 21, 1865. Jamess application was recommended by Frank Rice. Examining Committee members were William H. Armstrong, L. Burget, and J.W. Haley. Applicant Elected, Mustered, Number on Des. Book, Adjutant, and Post Commander information omitted.
