This is a closed mouth bisque head doll manufactured in Germany by Alt, Beck and Gottschalk (ABG) circa 1880. The doll is model #698 (Emily). The body is leather. The eyes are blue glass paperweight. The hair is a blonde mohair wig. The mouth is closed and painted. The doll is dressed in a pink silky print fashion type newer dress. The head is perfect and the body has been repaired. The doll stands 18 inches (45.2 cm) tall. |
