Description:	Volunteer enlistment and examination papers for Oliver P. Rood, August 30, 1862. Rood, was first placed in the 14th Indiana Volunteer Infantry Regiment and later transferred to the 20th Indiana Infantry Regiment. He was recorded as being 18 years of age at the time of his muster. Also included is his medical fitness examination form. He was listed with no ailments or major health problems and having been vaccinated against smallpox.
