An article about Terre Haute resident Peter John Ryan who won the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1864. He returned to Terre Haute after the Civil War and started a business in harness manufacturing and later a livery business. He later married Mary E. Maloney of Evansville, Indiana. They had eight children and four survived him. |
