Maps of the Farrington and Williams Park House, February-June 1862

Description: Maps of the Farrington and Williams Park House located at the Northwest corner of Park and First street. During the Civil War, the structure was used to house Confederate prisoners of war in Terre Haute, Indiana from February-June 1862. Hand drawn map in charcoal gives an aerial sketch of the main housing unit marked with the number 27. In the sketch, the rail road tracks on 1st street with a train in motion can be seen as well as scenery along the Wabash River.
