Lancaster Coal Company miners tokens

Miners' tokens

Description: Five brass miners tokens from the Lancaster Coal Companys Andrews Mine that operated from 1898 to 1899 and employed 25 men. The tokens in denominations of 5-10-25-50 cents and 1 dollar were used by miners to purchase goods at the company store. The LBC on the tokens stands for Lancaster Block Coal and the AM designates the Andrews Mine.
