Picture of the interior of the E.L. Godecke bookstore which was located on the north side of Wabash Ave, the third door east of Fourth Street. It burned down in 1896 when Naylors Opera House burned. The proprietor was E.L. Godecke and one clerk was Walter Leeds, the other is unknown. |
