EHRENHARDTCarl E. Ehrenhardt, a native of Terre Haute, Indiana, is a 1930 graduate of Rose PolytechnicInstitute with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering. Upon graduation, he joined theGeneral Electric Company where he rose through engineering positions to management during an18-year association. Returning to Terre Haute, he joined the Winslow Government Standard ScaleWorks, Inc., where he served the later years as president. Retired since 1977, he continues as aconsultant to Winslow Scale.In addition to his contributions to engineering management, he has been a leader in the developmentof Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Elected to life membership in the schools Boardof Managers in .1962, he served as vice chairman of the board from 1968 through 1975. He isfounder and first chairman of Rose-Hulmans Board of Associates, a group of Terre Haute civicleaders who serve as ambassadors for the college. Ehrenhardt also has served the RoseTech AlumniAssociation in a variety of capacities.GEORGE S. GRAFFGeorgeS. Graff, who was born in New York and grew up in Toledo, Ohio, earned a bachelor ofarts in English and modern European history from DeSales College in Toledo in 1939. He continuedhis education at the University of Detroit, earning a bachelor of science in aeronautical engineeringin 1942.Having worked for Continental Aviation and Engineering Corporation while a student atDetroit, he joined McDonnell Aircraft Corporation in St. Louis in 1942 and rose from aerodynamicistto chief aerodynamicist in the first eight years of his employment. He was promoted to vicepresidenti!ngineering technology in 1964 and vice presenti!ngineering in 1968 and became presidentof the company in 1971, a position he held until his retirement in March, 1982.Active on a number of committees of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration andthe American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, he has been cited for leadership in theaerospace industry and national preparedness and defense.FRANK H. WINTERSFrank H. Winters, a native of Evansville, Indiana, was graduated first in the October, 1943class at Rose Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. Followingmilitary service with the Corps of Engineers during World War II, he joined Caterpillar TractorCompany in 1946 as an engineer.Rising through research engineering positions, he became assistant chief engineer at CaterpillarsJoliet Plant in 1960 and chief engineer in 1966. Winters was promoted to assistant director ofengineering at the companys Peoria, Illinois, General Offices in 1970, and director of engineeringin 1973. He was elected vice president with responsibility for engineering, patent, research andtechnical facilities in 1979. He is listed as inventor on 16 patents issued for hydraulic and hydrostaticcontrols and related innovations for the earthmoving equipment industry.NATHANIEL C. WYETHNathaniel C. Wyeth, a native of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, is a graduate of the Universityof Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. He began his professionalcareer with the Du Pont Company in 1936, an association he has continuously maintained sincethat time.Noted for his creativity in the field of engineering, he is the inventor or coinventor of 23products or processes for which patents have been granted. In 1963 he was named DuPonts firstEngineering Fellow and in 1975 was elevated to Senior Engineering Fellow-the highest technicalposition at Du Pont.He comes from a distinguished family noted for its creativity that includes his father, NewellWyeth, a well-known muralist, and his brother, Andrew, one of Americas most distinguishedartists. The doctors gown is faced down the front withvelvet panels and has three velvet crossbars on each sleeve.
