Labor Day Parade 1926 on State Street in Princeton, IN

Description: This section of the parade is seen with the Central Labor Union float leading the way. It is a truck decorated with the U.S flag across the hood. A banner in the bed of the truck identified the CLU float. Men dressed in long white sleeves, ties, and white hats rode along with men in overalls in the bed of the truck. A car followed, also decorated with the U. S. flag. Behind it walked rows of men carrying signs. State Street was decorated with U. S. flags positioned on poles, and it held scores of people watching the parade. The men and young boys were mostly dressed in long white sleeve shirts and long pants. However, many of the men also wore suits, with hats. McCulloughs Cafe, Purdys Confectioner, and Walsh Decorating Co. are seen on the north side of the street.
