A photograph of John R. Officer, a Chicago policeman, in his uniform with badge number 700. John R. Officer was born in Princeton, Ind. His parents were Mr. & Mrs. George Officer. He was a Chicago patrolman who was shot and killed April 13, 1934 when he interrupted a robbery at a shoe shop. His body was returned to Princeton and he was buried at Sand Hill Cemetery. |
