In this rough draft of her speech for the Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Margaret Gisolo traces her athletic journey from her childhood playing baseball in the American Legion with the Blanford Cubs and the controversy surrounding her playing ball with boys to her time at Indiana State Teachers College where she was exposed to many different sports including tennis and dance to her time spent as a professor at Indiana University Pennsylvania and Arizona State University where she helped to create dance programs to finally her participation in senior women tennis tournaments in her retirement. |
