Black and white photograph of Sina Sutton. Born Susanna Hess around 1857, her husband James Sutton died in 1893. She was a matron at Union Christian College in Merom for many years and also a student. Likely became a matron in 1894, as the previous matron Susan V. Susie Fry left around that time and was a missionary to Japan. Mrs Suttons daughter Ruby Lucinda Sutton (born around 1889) also attended UCC. |
