Members of the Black History Preservation Project of Knox County organized and participated in the reception program which featured an invocation by Reverend Anton Howard of the New Life Holy Cathedral, literary readings by author Aaron Jones, singing of Negro spirituals by Reverend Kenneth Morris, and an historical address about the history and importance of Juneteenth and Black history in Indiana by Vincennes University professor Tyson Sims. |
