Knox County probate record for James Steen, 1834

Description: A folder of probate records for James Steen is housed in Box 19 of the Knox County probate records section at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. This folder contains written and type text bills, receipts, summons, administration papers, inventory of the estate, court costs, a promissory note, and sales of the estate. The administrators bond was filed by John Steen, Harmon B. Robinson, Richard Steen and James Dunn on August 14, 1834. Mary Steen of Knox County, widow of James Steen, signs a statement that she is renouncing claim to any right and title as administration.
