| Description: |
A folder of probate records for Daniel Hollingsworth is housed in Box 17 of the Knox County probate records section at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady Brockman House. This folder contains a hand-written bond filed on March 4, 1833 naming John Underwood and Jackson Hollingsworth as administrators. It appears in a “receipt of heirs” filed November 14, 1835, that the estate was divided among Hollingsworth’s three daughters, Lucy, Amelia and Caroline. Vague wording in the document suggests than an Anna Hollingsworth may have benefitted as well. There is an appraisal of the estate as well as an accompanying bill of sale and schedule of debts due the estate. |
