Rolling Stone Covered Bridge, Putnam County, Indiana

Description: Photograph of Rolling Stone Covered Bridge in Putnam County, Indiana. The bridge was built in 1915 by Joseph A. Britton and crosses the Big Walnut Creek. The name Rolling Stone came from a large bolder that rolled from the action of the water. Considered a menace to the bridge, the bolder was destroyed by dynamite.
