Most of the Hi-Ymeetings this year wore group discussions, talks by outside speaker:or some form of athletics. Outside activities included a Hi-Y--Bluo-Tri party and a ping-pong tournament. For the second semester, Miss Gillum took charge again.Aside from the actual work of the club, which is to write for the localSunday paper the school news which might be of interest to the students,the members have enjoyed several social good times together.Luncheons and picnics have often taken the place of the regular Mondaymeetings at lunch time. In the fell Miss Martin entertained the clubwith a luncheon at the Elks Club. In January, Jane Kivits entertainedMiss Gillum, Miss Martin and the members at her home. On the first ofApril, Miss Gillum ushered in the picnic season with a picnic luncheongiven for the members at Doming Park.The club consists of eight members, two from each class. Themembers are chosen in their freshman year to serve all four years.The senior members have charge of news and are responsible for collecting, correcting, and organizing the material.
