190THE NORMAL ADVANCEPI ZETA.* I VHE winter term, which closed recently,-■■ was a pleasant one to the members of thePi Zeta Chapter, but the spring term promisesto be infinitely more so.Misses Ariel Anderson, Marie Grose andRuth Harris, former members, have re-enteredand will take an active part in section affairs.On Saturday afternoon, March 29, after abusiness session at the home of Miss Hazel Neal,the girls enjoyed a tramp along the outskirtsof the flooded districts and recorded some interesting occurences by means of a camera.A number of delightful little affairs are being planned and it is hoped that the term willprove the most enjoyable of the year.ALPHA.Miss Edith Miller entertained the AlphaThursday, April 3rd, with a six oclock dinnerin honor of Miss lone Hazledine, who sailed forEurope on April 11th. The assisting hostesseswere Miss Nola Noland and Miss DorothyBowser.Miss Clara Sass entertained in honor of MissHazledine Monday afternoon, April 7th. Mrs.Isaac Sherwood Powers and Mrs. ClarenceKnipmeyer assisted.The Alphas entertained several guests with asix oclock dinner at the Elks Club Tuesday,April 8.OMEGA.Misses Mayme Brown and Rosalie Mitchellwere hostesses for a delightful party in theY. AV. C. A. reception rooms. An initial testwas one of the interesting features of amusement.An Omega song, composed by Pearl Samuels,was adopted by the girls as their section song.In appreciation of this Miss Samuels was givena beautiful Omega spoon.At six oclock the guests were invited into thetea room where a delicious two-course luncheonwas served at one large table, the central ornament of which was a large bouquet of American Beauty roses and at each end were candelabra bearing pink and green candles. |
