Aftermembers had debated the question of government ownership of railroads, he gave a talkwhich the Ciceronians will long remember. Inthe beginning, he told how he had been draftedinto a literary society at the beginning of hiscollege days, and gave a very vivid and interesting picture of inter-society contests withtheir enthusiasm, and banquets. He then cameto the question of the evening. He pointed outthe socialistic tendencies the world over, making clear the fact that the United States, although in the rear of the procession, is nevertheless involved in the oncoming change. Thesociety could not help but be benefited by sucha talk.Such meetings as the three mentioned aboveare inestimable to every CiceronianThe Ciceronians attended and thoroughly enjoyed The Xew System and the after theater supper given by the Philomatheans February 21.Lee V.
