On the contrary they havebeen so involved between work and good timesthat they have had little time to chronicleevents. The plan of having a Section home, whichwas adopted by the girls at the beginning ofthis term, has shown itself well conceived andadmirably carried out. It is the first attemptat anything of the kind—has been, in fact, anexperiment, and the girls feel that it is a greatsuccess. There are nine girls living at thehouse (512 North Seventh street), Mae Lamb,Anna Paul, Nellie Paul, Orpha Cole, EuniceAsbury, Lena Wilson, Florence Carithers,Katherine Leonard and Fern Colglazier, whowere in last spring term. At the opening of thespring term the house furnished ample room, but since then a number of girls have been takeninto the Section, and these, of course, could notbe accommodated. Mrs. Schrok is the chaperonfor the girls. The house has been the source ofmany delightful little impromptu affairs of various natures, which have afforded the girls endless pleasure, and need not be mentionedfurther, save to say, that when the girls gohome in June they will probably look back atthese little unexpected gatherings with quite asmuch pleasure as to the bigger events, someof which are briefly stated below. Suffice is itto say that no open sesame is required, theLlamarada door is always opened to those whohave the feeling of goodfellowship and the desire for a good time.As a winding up of last term the girls madebanners and enjoyed a delicious supper atOrpha Coles, in North Sixth street. Thosepresent were: Anna Paul, Orpha Cole, BerthaEbbert, Mae and Janette Lamb, Orrelle Fidlar,Marguerite Moody, Florence Carithers, RuthMiller, Margaret Lahey and Lena Wilson.Miss Janette Lamb did not return thisspring, but is teaching music at her home. Sheexpects, however, to return in June, as domany of the other Llamaradas. On registration day the House was initiatedby a spread. Tho out-of-town girls broughtgood things from home and a very enjoyableevening was spent. Besides the girls at theHouse, Adda Allen, Pearl Jolley, Zita Caughlin, Marguerite Moody, Margaret Lahey,Bertha Ebbert, Lora Love, and Orrelle Fidlarwere present. On Saturday evening, April 17, 1909, theLlamaradas were the hostesses for a dancingparty given at the Naylor-Cox hall. The partygiven in the nature of a League affair, membershaving been from the various sections. Thewalls were covered with a profusion of bannersand pennants. The lights were hooded ingreen and the columns draped with greenstreamers. The programmes, the work of MissEunice Asbury, bore small Llamarada banners, done in water color. The Locke-Thomasorchestra furnished the music. Mr. and Mrs.James Lardner, Miss Sarah Swihart, and Mr.Anton Yung, of Ann Arbor, Mich., chaperonedthe party.
