The local twirler fanned eight men andlet the visitors down with three scattered hits.Up to the ninth inning his opponents had gotbut a single bingle off his delivery and thatin the fourth spasm, when they scored theirlone tally. Two successive hits in the ninthmade things interesting, but again the local ladpulled out of the hole and blanked the Suckers.Tarbel also fanned eight men and allowed butfour hits.Battery errors lost the game to the Normal.In the sixth, with the visitors one run to thegood and two out, Schockels life was spared.The catcher reached third and La Hue secondbase wiien Joy threw into a vacuum at secondto force Schockel. A wild pitch by Tarbel anda passed ball by his brother on the receiving endsent two Normal men over the plate.
