Black, 01, is an instructor inthe Normal School at Valparaiso, Ind.Miss Dessie Moore, 08, has charge of thefourth grade at Huntington.The legal profession has drawn anotherAlumnus from our profession. Mr. Edgar M.Blessing, 99, after teaching two years in thehigh school at Plainfield, entered the law schoolof the University of Michigan, from which hegraduated in 1904. He is now practicing lawat Danville, Ind., where he was recently reelected Prosecuting Attorney. In 1905, Mr.Blessing was wedded to Miss Geraldine M.White, a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan.Miss Frances Snyder, 10, is teaching in theLafayette schools.Mr. Jasper Hypes, 07, teaches Mathematicsin the Brazil High School.Mr. Roscoe Hyde, 06, C. C. 08, will receivehis Masters Degree at I. U. the latter part ofMarch.Mr. J. E. Crawley, 04, principal of the St.Paul High School, has been able recently toplace his school on the accredited list. Mrs.Crawley, who before her marriage was MissGrace Mulliken, 02, is teaching in the primarydepartment of the St. Paul schools.Mr. Lotus D. Coffman is head of the MethodsDepartment in the State Normal School atCharleston, 111.Mr. R. M. Tryon, 02, is doing excellent workas principal of the high school at Madison, Ind.Mr. Martin R. Goshorn, 98, is now a hardware merchant at Clay City. Miss Elsie Goshorn, 05, his sister, will receive her A. B. fromIndiana University this year.Mr. Arthur B. Wright, 01, is teaching Mathematics in the Anderson High School.Mr. Edgar Webb, 99, is the owner and editorof the Attica Ledger, the only daily paper inAttica, Ind. Mr. Webb writes that he is meeting great success in his newspaper work, andthat the first newspaper work he ever did wasin contributing to the columns of the Advancewhile he was a student here.Miss Violet Toph, 10, is teaching in herhome schools at Versailles, Ind.Mrs. Bertha Wade Holmes, 02, is a residentof Yates Center, Kansas, where she has livedsince her marriage in 1905.Several marriages have occurred among ourAlumni of which the Advance has just receivedknowledge. Mr. Ernest Tillman, 05, was married to a Miss King of Rensselaer, last August.They are living in Rensselaer, where Mr. Tillman is teaching. Mr. George N. Porter, 07,and Miss Estella Canaday, 06, were united inmarriage last September, and are residents ofGoodland, where Mr. Porter holds a position inthe high school. Miss Isabel Martin, 08, whohas been teaching the past year at Merryville,La., was married to Mr. Lloyd Landry at Houston, Texas. Mr. Landry is timekeeper and paymaster for the Louisiana Sugar Refining Co.,at Bonus, Texas, where the young couple willreside.
