20STATE NORMAL SCHOOL.REMARKS.1. For the benefit of those teachers who can attend the Nor¬
mal School but one term, and who are qualified to receive it, a
special course of study and of instruction in methods of teaching
and in the principles of organizing, classifying, and managing
schools, will be planned at the beginning of each Fall and
Spring Term which course will be such as shall best meet the wants of the classes entering at the time.2. It is important that every student expecting to attend the Normal School should be present the first day of the term, that all may be examined at once and classed.Those who enter a few days after the opening of the term will take up, in their examination, the time of teachers which should be given to instruction. Besides, those who are tardy at enter¬ ing find it very difficult to make up lost lessons.3. No pupil will be admitted to the Normal School who does not intend to qualify himself to teach in the public schools.4. The following syllabuses indicate briefly the system of instruction, and the order of study for the subjects outlined: |
