Description: |
Mark Lemmons transcribed account of the legend of Stiffy Green as collected by Teresa Fout. According to the legend, Stiffy was a dog who died of heartbreak shortly after his masters death. He was then stuffed and placed in his masters tomb. Supposedly, the dog can be heard barking if one visits the mausoleum, which is located in Highland Lawn Cemetery in Vigo County, Indiana. |
