Hatchetmans cemetery

Description: Raychel Tindalls transcribed interview of Jared Parsons about Hatchetmans Cemetery in Marshall, Illinois. According to Parsons, there was once a man who lived on Macke Road across from the Macke Cemetery. The man went insane and killed his wife and child. In his insanity, he thought that he was the cemetery keeper and if people would enter the cemetery after hours he would kill them. After he killed people he would throw their bodies down a well located under his front porch. When he died, he was buried in this cemetery and that is why it is now Hatchetman Cemetery. Now he haunts the cemetery and will chase out anyone who dares to go up the stairs and touch the fence before leaving. After doing that the Hatchetman is supposed to chase you and possibly kill you.
