Folk doctors, Doc Cox

Description: Charles Baldwins transcribed interview of an anonymous 76 year-old man about Doc Cox. According to this source, Doc Cox was mostly Indian and lived south of Sullivan, Indiana. He was an herb doctor and he never graduated from high school. The American Medical Association tried for years to shut down Coxs practice but never could. Eventually Cox was arrested for practicing medicine without a license.
