Description: Letter to Eugene V. Debs, 6/18/1913. Says that he regrets that Eugene V. Debs report on the West Virginia coal strike has created a storm of protest. Writes that he will be the last to believe that Eugene V. Debs was prompted by anything but the purest motives. Tells Eugene V. Debs that Governor Henry Hatfield should be acquitted for acts he did not commit.
